Gujarat has already increased the dearness allowance of state government employees by 11 percent. As a result, they will get 26 per cent Death Allowance (DA). which is in force since July. However, the first increment rate along with the September salary will be credited to the account of the state government employees. The enhanced DA for July and August will be given as ‘Area’.
The employees of Gujarat government have been getting DA at the rate of 18 per cent till now. Which has increased by 26 percent since July 1. At the same time, Dearness Relief (DR) of retired government employees has also increased. As a result of the announcement, 9.71 lakh state government employees and 4.5 lakh retired state government employees will be benefited under the 7th Pay Commission.
What will be the salary of Gujarat state government employees?
Basic Pay: Rs 10,000 per month.
New Dearness Allowance: Rs 2600 per month.
Previous Dearness Allowance: Rs 1,600 per month.
Difference: Rs 1,100 per month.
Annual Growth: Rs 13,200.
