75% increase in daily Covid cases in Gujarat Ahmedabad News – Times of India

AHMEDABAD: After hitting a 500-day low at 8 am on Sunday, the state on Monday reported a 75% rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in a single day with 14 new cases. With the discharge of 17 patients, the active cases came down from 3 to 133.
The new cases include five from Ahmedabad city, three each from Surat and Vadodara cities and one each from Surat, Vadodara and Porbandar districts. Ahmedabad had reported no new cases on Saturday and Sunday – the first time since April 2020.
With two last from Navsari and one from Mahisagar districts discharged, the number of districts with zero active cases rose to 18.
