Srinagar: At least seven residential houses were gutted in a massive fire in Hamza Colony, Batamaloo Ara, Srinagar late on Sunday evening.
Reports said that a fire broke out from a residential house of Shabbir Ahmed Sheikh in Batamaloo’s Sheikh Hamza Colony Dunder Kha area and engulfed other structures.
Seven residential houses were damaged in this incident.
Meanwhile, an official said that “fire engines were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze,” adding that seven residential houses were damaged till the blaze was brought under control and the cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the police have started investigation by registering a case in this regard- (KNO)
