7 policemen on duty for President Kovind’s visit to Uttarakhand, Kovid positive

covid case update: There is once again a spurt in the cases of Kovid-19 in Uttarakhand. 11 officials of the Indian Forest Research Center have been found infected with this virus. The COVID-19 cases in various districts of the state have raised concerns among the state government and the people. On Sunday, 7 policemen on duty for President Kovind’s visit to Rishikesh tested positive for COVID-19.

Seven policemen on duty at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh were found infected with the virus during President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Uttarakhand during tests conducted by the Pauri Health Department at Laxman Jhula Police Station. Of these, three were from Chamoli district, two from Rishikesh, one from Rudraprayag and one from Devprayag.

According to the Health Department, RTPCR test of all the policemen of different districts was done in the police station. Policemen found COVID-19 positive have been sent back for home quarantine.

The state government has also issued an alert across the state regarding the new ‘Omicron’ version of Kovid-19. Strict instructions have been issued to the district magistrates of the state to follow all the protocols of Kovid-19. After the confirmation of positive cases in 11 officials of the Indian Forest Research Center, there have been reports of increasing COVID-19 cases from various regions. The state government has appealed to the people to follow all the necessary rules and guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Latest on COVID-19 in the State:
36 new cases have been reported in Uttarakhand today. 10 patients have recovered and have been discharged. The number of active patients here is 176.
