Hyderabad: Telangana on Wednesday recorded 691 new Covid-19 cases and 5 deaths, while the number of active cases in the state stood at 9,908.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,38,721 and the death toll stands at 3,771. The number of active containment zones in the state was 40. Apart from the two new containment zones in Hyderabad, Mahbubabad, Jaishankar Bhupalpally and Bhadadri Kothagudem The state has most of the active containment zones.
A total of 565 patients were declared healthy on Wednesday, taking the total number of cured patients to 6,25,041. case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.59 percent while the recovery rate is now 97.85 percent. Of the total cases in the state so far, 79.8 per cent have been asymptomatic while 20.2 per cent have been symptomatic.
As many as 1,14,260 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus on Wednesday. Telangana has now completed testing of 2.08 crore samples and has reached to 5.60 lakh sample tests per million population.
NS Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) registered 85 new cases on Wednesday, while the neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri 30 cases registered Ranga Reddy 19 more recorded Sanga Reddy 29 cases registered outside Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Jagtial, Khamman, Mancheriyal And more cases were seen in Nalgonda.
