Monsoon arrived simultaneously in Delhi and Maharashtra on Sunday. Although it was raining in many areas of the capital since late Saturday night, but on Sunday, heavy rains drenched the entire Delhi.

According to the Meteorological Department, after 62 years the monsoon has reached both the places simultaneously. Earlier on June 21, 1961, monsoon had entered both the places on the same day. The weather became pleasant due to the rain. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the next three days.

On one hand, the rain in the country’s capital brought relief to the people from the heat and humidity. On the other hand, as a disaster, there was heavy waterlogging at many places, due to which people were troubled. However, being a Sunday, the offices remained closed. Due to which there was not much jam on the roads, but today the rain can become a problem for the office goers.

This year the monsoon rains have entered 5 days before the normal date (June 30). Monsoon will completely cover Delhi in the next two days and heavy rain is forecast for the next four days. This is the first arrival of Southwest Monsoon since 2015 and 2020, when it arrived in Delhi on the same date, June 25. Earlier in 2013, reached Delhi on 16th June.

Woman dies due to electrocution in railway station campus, father said – officer responsible
The negligence of the railway administration came to the fore on Sunday morning at the New Delhi Railway Station campus. In the midst of the rain, current was coming in the pole. A woman named Sakshi Ahuja, who came to the railway station to catch a train to Chandigarh, tried to pass near the pillar to avoid the water-logged path in the premises, when her body came in contact with the pillar.

The pole was electrocuted, which resulted in the death of the witness. Sakshi lived in Delhi’s Preet Vihar, along with two other women and three children. Sakshi’s father Lokesh Kumar Chopra said that he was in the parking area at the time of the incident. He alleged that the incident happened due to the negligence of the officers.

Part of building collapses in RK Puram
A portion of a shop collapsed on Sunday in the market area of ​​RK Puram Sector 12 of the capital. There is no news of anyone getting injured in the incident. The fire brigade team reached the spot and started relief work and removed the debris. It is being told that this part of this building, which is about 50 years old, was already dilapidated and fell due to rain.

Madhya Pradesh: Bhopal received 3 inches of rain
Monsoon entered Bhopal with a bang within 24 hours of its arrival in Madhya Pradesh. From 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Sunday, it rained at the fastest pace of the season. It rained 3 inches in 2 hours. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for very heavy rain for four days. That is, till June 29, there may be heavy rains in Bhopal. The reason for this is the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, which will come towards Madhya Pradesh in the next day or two.
