6-yr-old falls into borewell in MP, CM Shivraj Chouhan monitoring situation

Bhopal, 6 December (IANS) | A six-year-old child fell into a borewell at around 8.30 pm on Tuesday night in a village in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh.

The local police and administration were informed about the incident, following which a rescue operation was launched, which is still underway.

Betul District Collector Amanveer Singh Bains said that a camera has been installed in the borewell to monitor the child’s movements.

Provisions have been made for oxygen supply in borewells and a tunnel.

Apart from the District Magistrate, other officers including SP Simala Prasad are monitoring the situation.

The Chief Minister’s Office informed that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is personally monitoring the situation and taking review from the collector.

The rescue operation was going on till the news was written.
