5G expected to roll out in India by end of next year: Govt in IMC 2021

Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Wednesday sought suggestions from industry stakeholders for further reforms in the sector and to keep the Indian regulatory framework at par with the best in the world. while speaking on India The Mobile Congress event, Vaishnav invited views of telecom companies to spread digital connectivity across the country for inclusive growth.

The minister said that the government under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government for inclusive growth and seek suggestions from industry to take digital connectivity to the last section of the society, vulnerable and marginalized section. He sought suggestions for making the telecom network secure with reliable products and equipment in view of the geo-political situation.

“The security of telecommunication networks is of paramount concern in all countries of the world. People want telecom equipment, telecom equipment, telecom network operating system, everything to be from reliable sources,” he said, adding that good equipment and also increase the overall confidence in telecom services.
