57% booth sensitive in Ellenabad by-election: A total of 211 booths in the assembly; Out of these, 121 sensitive-susceptible, polling parties leave

In Haryana, preparations related to the polling to be held on October 30 in Ellenabad assembly seat of Sirsa district are in the final phase. 211 polling booths have been set up for polling in Ellenabad area and out of these, 121 have been kept in sensitive and sensitive category. That is, more than 57% of the total polling stations here are sensitive and sensitive.

Hisar Range Inspector General of Police (IG) Rakesh Kumar Arya said that tight security arrangements have been made for fair and free voting in the Ellenabad by-election. Talking to reporters at Sirsa Police Line, IG Arya said that apart from district police, 34 companies of paramilitary forces and police personnel from other districts included in Hisar range have been deployed in Ellenabad area. On the polling day, October 30, 52 more nakas have been built on the Rajasthan and Punjab borders in addition to the ones already in operation. IG Arya said that the Rajasthan and Punjab borders have been completely sealed and suspicious people are being monitored. Police has formed a total of 65 patrolling parties which will patrol the entire assembly area continuously and will reach there in 5 to 7 minutes if any information is received. Tight arrangements have also been made for the security of EVMs.

Sirsa SP Dr. Arpit Jain said that 211 polling booths set up for Saturday’s polling in Ellenabad area are at 113 locations. Haryana Police as well as Paramilitary Force personnel have been deployed for security at every booth. Additional forces are being deployed at sensitive and vulnerable booths. Necessary arrangements are also being made in terms of CID and local inputs.

Final rehearsal of polling parties at CDLU

On Friday, polling parties were sent to the polling booths along with police and security forces at Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) in Sirsa. Earlier, the final rehearsal of EVMs was done to the polling parties. In the final rehearsal, the election teams were informed about their duties and the instructions of the Election Commission. Also election materials were distributed. The employees were told during the rehearsals that somehow EVMs and VVPAT machines have to be carried? Information related to noting booth-wise numbers and sealing of EVMs after the completion of the election process was also given.

Elaborate arrangements for peaceful polling

Elaborate security arrangements have been made to conduct the voting peacefully in the by-election to the Ellenabad assembly seat. Sirsa DC and District Election Officer Anish Yadav said that a total of 211 polling booths have been set up for voting in the Ellenabad assembly constituency. Out of these, 121 booths have been kept in sensitive and sensitive category. On Friday, after conducting the final rehearsals of the polling parties, they were sent to the polling booths. The DC claimed that tight security arrangements have been made in the polling. The District Election Officer appealed to the voters to exercise their franchise in maximum numbers.
