December 16 is the 50th anniversary of Indian Armed Forces‘Victory in 1971’ Indo Pak war, Army is celebrating this occasion with a grand festival called victory festival A small glimpse of those grand celebrations at India Gate next week was screened in Gurgaon on Monday evening.
As a precursor to the Victory Festival celebrations this weekend, Gurkha Regiment NS Indian Army Organized a small show featuring exhibits and weapons exhibition at Cyberhub, Gurgaon. event witnessed a kalaripayattu Martial arts and dance performances by the soldiers which garnered a loud applause from the crowd. This was followed by a pipe band performance by the soldiers of the 5/11 Gorkha Regiment. Highlight of the evening a. Was khukri dance Demonstration by soldiers. Major Nelson, who was involved in organizing the event, said, “This program was organized to make people aware about the celebrations. From 10th December a grand program will be organized at India Gate.”

The Indo-Pak conflict of 1971 ended on 16 December, which is celebrated since victory Day, This year on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the victory, the armed forces have intensified the celebrations in the form of Vijay Parv. Over the course of four days, the event will feature martial arts displays, sound and light shows, weapons displays and a dog show among other things.
