Corona cases are increasing continuously in the country. On Friday, 13,079 new infected have been confirmed in the country. This figure is the biggest since February 24. Then 13,166 cases were registered. A day before this, 12,847 cases were found on Thursday. From June 13 to 17, more than 50 thousand cases have been reported in the country. The infection has increased rapidly in the capital Delhi. There have been 35% more cases than the previous day.
At the same time, if we talk about those who died, 23 people have lost their lives in the country in the last 24 hours. Earlier on June 9, 24 people died due to coronavirus. With this, the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment in the country has increased to 66,701, this figure was 61,738 a day earlier.
35% increase in new cases in Delhi
Meanwhile, 1,797 new corona cases were found in the capital Delhi on Friday and one patient died. A day before this, 1,323 cases were found here on Thursday and 1,375 on Wednesday. In this context, there has been an increase of 474 i.e. 35% in new cases in just one day. Here the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment has increased to 4,843, which was 3,948 a day earlier on Thursday.
The positivity rate in the capital Delhi has also increased to 8.18%, which was 6.69% a day earlier. Here 901 people defeated Corona on the last day. In the last 24 hours, 21,978 Kovid samples were tested here. Between June 10 and 15, more than 5,300 challans have been issued across Delhi and a fine of over Rs 26 lakh has been imposed on violators of the COVID norms.
One third of the country’s new cases in Maharashtra
In the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, 4,165 new cases of corona have been reported and 3 people have died. The highest number of corona cases have been registered here in the country. Here the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment has increased to 21,749. The positivity rate in the state is 9.36%.
Highest 14.78% positivity rate in Kerala
In the last 24 hours, 3,162 new corona cases have been registered here. At the same time, 12 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases here is 19,473, which is about a third of the total active cases in the country. A total of 65.92 lakh people have been infected in Kerala since the beginning of the pandemic. At the same time, 69,866 people have lost their lives.
