Naxalites have once again suffered a major setback in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. Naxalite leader Hakiraju Hargopal alias Akki Raju (63) was killed. His death has been confirmed by Bastar IG Sundarraj P and Naxalite organization. In the letter issued by the Naxalites, it has been told that Akki Raju was suffering from kidney disease for a long time and was undergoing treatment. Despite dialysis, he could not be saved. The Chhattisgarh government had placed a reward of Rs 50 lakh on him.

According to sources, Naxalite leader Akki Raju has died in the border areas of South Bastar i.e. Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma districts. A letter issued by Naxalites spokesperson Abhay said that Akiraju Hargopal died at 6 am on October 14. His body has been buried. Akki Raju was a member of the Central Committee of Naxalites. She was married to Naxalite Sirisha. The two also had a son named Munna alias Prithvi, who was killed in the Ramguda encounter in 2018.

Journey traveled from teacher to becoming a Naxalite leader
Hargopal was born in the year 1958 in Palnad area of ​​Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. His father was a school teacher. Hargopal also did his postgraduation and then started teaching with his father. Meanwhile, in 1978, at the age of 20, he came in contact with the Naxalites. After 4 years, he completely joined the Naxalite organization. After this, he led the Naxalites in South Telangana for 4 years while staying in different positions in the Naxalite organization.

The state government also called for talks to restore peace.
In the year 2000, Akki Raju was elected the state secretary for Andhra Pradesh by the Naxalites. Then in the year 2004, the Andhra Pradesh government held talks with the Naxalite delegation during inter-party talks. It was led by Akki Raju. A solution did not work out during the talks and Akki Raju was taken into custody. After this, he was shifted by the Central Committee to another place. Apart from Akki, there is also news of the death of two other big leaders of Naxalites. Their names and cause of death are not yet known.

Many big Naxalite leaders died in 4 months
In the last few months, many big Naxalite leaders have died from Corona. On June 10, Naxalite Katti Mohan Rao alias Damu Dada, on June 21, the Central Committee member of Naxalites and Haribhushan, a reward of 40 lakh rupees, and on June 22, a woman Naxalite Bharatakka, were killed. Along with this, Naxalite Vinod, who was rewarded 15 lakhs, had also died due to illness in the past. Apart from this, many other Naxalites including Dev, Rupi, Ganga, Sudru, Munni, Reena have also died.
