Marutubandi and Revathi, hailing from Veerakeralampudur, Tamil Nadu are the proud parents of a 5-year-old boy named Madhavan. According to Local 18 Tamil, he has won a Nobel World Record Award for doing 100 yoga asanas and uttering 100 Tirukkurals simultaneously. The Nobel World Record Institute recognised the boy’s achievement and honoured him with an award and a medal. For those who don’t know, Tirukkural is a classic Tamil Sangam literature consisting of 1330 couplets or Kurals.

He has established this record in 15 minutes and 14 seconds. Madhavan is studying in class 1st in Panchayat Union Primary School there and has been practising yoga since he was 2 years old. He has imbibed his mother’s interest in Tamil and his father’s passion for yoga asanas. His mother teaches him Tirukkural in the morning while his father gives him lessons regarding yoga in the evening. Madhavan’s father is confident that his son will go on to make another world record in the next year.
