In Andhra Pradesh, 5 people were burnt alive after a high-tension line collapsed on an auto.
A tragic accident took place in Sathyasai district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. Here an auto caught fire due to high tension wire falling on it. Workers going to work in the fields were sitting in the auto. Of these, 5 died of burns and 3 were injured. The driver and 5 other passengers jumped out of the auto and saved their lives.
Police said that a farmer from a nearby village had called the laborers. All of them were going in a seven seater auto. Suddenly the power wire fell and the auto caught fire.
Andhra Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.
