Varanasi: At least five people were killed and one was seriously injured when a truck rammed into their car near Trilochan Makada bypass in Jalalpur area of ​​Jaunpur district on Tuesday morning. The injured person was taken to the Trauma Center in Varanasi for treatment.
According to reports, those killed in the accident have been identified as Nankau Singh (45), Hausala Prasad (54), Chhotu Singh, Anugrah Pratap Singh (17) and his younger brother Prabhu Dev (14). Sikrara area of ​​Jaunpur.

They were returning home after attending a marriage function in Chandauli district when the accident happened. The truck driver fled from the spot after the accident. SP (city) Sanjay Kumar said the bodies have been sent for postmortem and the family members have been informed about the incident. Police were searching for the absconding truck driver.
