Pune: Five people were killed and five others were injured when a basement slab of an under-construction site collapsed in Shastrinagar area of Yerwada area here. He said that fire brigade and police personnel are engaged in evacuating the people trapped under the rubble. “A skeleton of steel bars to form a slab at the basement level of the building site under construction collapsed late on Thursday. The accident happened when the laborers were working on the spot. Rohidas Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone V), said that five people were killed and five others were injured in the incident.
He said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital. ,
