5 detained in UP for ‘indecent’ remarks against Indian cricket team

UP Police on Wednesday said that five people have been detained for using abusive language against the Indian cricket team after the T20 World Cup match against Pakistan on October 24.

In a Hindi tweet on Wednesday, the UP Police said, “After the T20 World Cup match played between India and Pakistan on October 24, some anti-social elements used abusive words against the Indian team and through this, the peace was disturbed.” Anti-national remarks.”

“As per the reports received so far in this context, five cases have been registered in Agra, Bareilly, Badaun and Sitapur and case has been registered against seven persons, out of which 5 have been taken into custody. Investigation is underway. And on the basis of that evidence, further action will be taken,” the tweet said.
