A total of 67,566 pilgrims have visited the Amarnath cave shrine in the first 5 days of the Amarnath Yatra that began on July 1. On Wednesday, 18,354 pilgrims left for the Amarnath cave from Baltal base camp and Nunwan base camp. These include 12483 men, 5146 women, 457 children, 266 sadhus and 2 sadhvis.

On Thursday also, the sixth batch with 6,000 passengers left from both the base camps. Shri Amarnath Yatra, which lasts for 62 days, will end with Chhadi Mubarak on August 31, the day of Raksha Bandhan.

Free medical camps running on the travel route
Ramban district administration has set up free medical camps for Amarnath Yatris on NH-44 from Nashri to Banihal. Nodal Officer Dr. Opinder Singh said that 19 medical camps have been set up at Langar, Yatri Niwas and other residences. Where facilities like free medicines, ambulance service and testing are available round the clock for the passengers.

new cut off time released
The authorities have changed the traffic advisory for Amarnathji Yatra-2023 on Monday. According to which a new cut-off time has been issued for the yatra convoy and the rest of the passengers. The advisory will be applicable from July 4 to September 1.

Accordingly, the time for the last train to cross the Navyug tunnel has been fixed at 4 pm. The departure time for trains other than the yatra convoy has been changed to 5 pm for Jammu. After this no vehicle will be allowed to go ahead.
