Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said on Sunday that 420 people tested positive for coronavirus in the city. With the addition of new cases, the total number of cases has increased to 7,38,105.
However, Covid-19 recoveries exceeded the new positive cases during the day, with 523 people being discharged. So far 7,14,947 people have recovered from this virus.
The recovery rate is 97 percent, while the doubling rate is 1,222 days.
Five patients, including four with co-morbidities, also succumbed to the virus. The total death toll is 16,053.
At present, 4,629 patients are undergoing treatment.
Though there are no active containment zones as of Sunday, 45 buildings are sealed.
