The Vartak Nagar police mentioned that the incident befell within the intervening evening of Wednesday and Thursday, when the accused broken the wall of a tyre store and later entered the jewelry retailer situated subsequent to it after drilling into the widespread wall.
“The accused stole 652gm gold and 40kg silver coolectively value Rs 41 lakh. Based mostly on a grievance lodged by the store proprietor, a case has been registered below IPC sections 457 (home trespass) and 380 (theft),” mentioned Thane police official.
