402 new covid-19 cases, 6 deaths in Karnataka Bengaluru News – Times of India

Bengaluru: Karnataka 402 fresh Covid-19 cases and six deaths were recorded on Friday, taking the total number of infections to 29,94,963 and the toll to 38,193.
A bulletin of the Health Department said that the number of discharges is 277, taking the total number of cured people in the state so far to 29,50,130.
Bangalore Urban Cases topped the list (224) as the city reported 129 discharges and one death.
The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 6,611.
While the positivity rate for the day stood at 0.60 per cent, the case fatality rate (CFR) was 1.49 percent.
Of the six deaths on Friday, one was from Bengaluru Urban, Dakshina Kannada. Dharwad, Hasan, Kodagu, and Raichur.
The districts where new cases were reported are 224 in Bengaluru Urban, 85 in Dharwad, 25 in Mysuru, 19 in Dakshina Kannada followed by others.
Bengaluru Urban district leads the list of positive cases with a total of 12,55,835, followed by Mysuru at 1,79,675 and Tumakuru at 1,21,049.
In discharges also, Bengaluru Urban topped with 12,34,272, followed by Mysuru at 1,77,024 and Tumakuru at 1,19,797.
In all, a total of 5,29,98,710 samples have been tested so far in the state, of which 66,805 were done on Friday alone.
