Victim Mohan Singh Rajput had gone to school to appear for the compartment examination of class 10, where he had a verbal battle with the boys of class 11.

A 16-year-old student was allegedly lynched by four boys at a school in Raipur, police said on Tuesday. He said that the incident took place on Monday at a government school in Bhanpuri area of ​​Chhattisgarh’s capital city, after which four minor boys were taken into custody.

The victim, Mohan Singh Rajput, had gone to school to appear for the compartment examination of class 10 to improve marks and avoid repeating the academic year. Sonal Gwala, house officer of Khamtrai police station, said that she had a fight with some class 11 students in the school where the examination center was set up.

He said that a scuffle broke out between them after which four teenage boys allegedly thrashed Rajput badly. The victim fell unconscious and was taken to Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the official said.

The four boys were later taken into custody. He said that the incident is being investigated.
