Employees of Wells Fargo mentioned that even though many of them work remotely, the office has security 24/7.

In a chilling incident, a 60-year-old Wells Fargo employee identified as Denise Prudhomme from Tempe, Arizona died in her cubicle. But the disturbing part was that her body was only discovered four days later in her office building. As per reports, Denise had checked in at 7 am on August 16 and her body was found on August 20 when the guards found an ‘unresponsive’ employee. It’s unclear how the female worker remained unnoticed for so long, however, early investigation reports by Tempe Police indicate no signs of foul play.

As per the accounts of employees of Wells Fargo, Denise’s cubicle was on the third floor and away from the main aisle. Further, an employee told ABS News12 that her body was found when they were walking around the building. Some employees even shared they had noticed a bad smell but thought it was due to plumbing issues.

Wells Fargo, while talking about the incident, said, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague at our Tempe office. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time. Counselors, through our Employee Assistance Consulting service, are available to support our employees. We are fully cooperating with the Tempe Police Department in their investigation and will direct all further questions to them.”

Employees of Wells Fargo mentioned that even though many of them work remotely, the office has security 24/7. They believe someone should have noticed Denise Prudhomme earlier and others call it ‘part negligence’. The shocking incident has left many employees unsettled.

“It’s really heartbreaking and I’m thinking, ‘What if I were just sitting there?’ No one would check on me?” said a worker.

Another said, “To hear she’s been sitting at the desk like that would make me feel sick and nobody did anything. That’s how she spent her last moments.”

An employee noted, “That’s the scary part. That’s the uneasy part, It’s negligence in some parts.”

“To the family, I’m sorry for their loss. I feel it because I’m thinking about my mom and my mother-in-law and what if that happened to them,” shared a worker.

Reportedly, the cause of death is still not known by the Maricopa County medical examiner and investigation is underway.
