4 construction companies fined for violating NGT rules in Greater Noida
Four construction companies in Greater Noida have been fined a total of Rs 3 lakh for violating the guidelines issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on pollution. Officials gave this information on Friday.
According to an official statement, “Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) CEO Narendra Bhushan said that the fine will have to be paid within a week and for any repeat offence, the fine amount will be doubled.”
GNIDA said construction firms Apex Alphabet and French Apartments have been fined Rs 1 lakh each and Moni Construction and French Apartments Rs 50,000 each.
According to the statement, the authority directed the firms violating the rules of storage and placement of construction material to send the fine amount to the NGT.
It said, “CEO Bhushan appeals to all the residents of Greater Noida for their support in making the city clean.”
