DMK minister Senthil Balaji asked Annamalai to show the receipt of the Rafale watch within an hour of tweeting.

In Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Stalin’s minister Senthil Balaji has questioned BJP state president Annamalai’s Rafale watch. Senthil wrote in the tweet- How can a man who has only 4 goats wear a watch worth 5 lakhs? Not only this, he also asked to show the receipt of the watch.

On this, Annamalai not only showed the watch to the media but also said that he would show life time income tax statement, bank records of 10 years, records of cows and sheep, movable and immovable property. If they get even a penny more than this, they will hand over everything to the government.

In fact, BJP state president Annamalai was seen wearing Bell & Ross’ limited edition Rafale French fighter jet watch, DMK minister Senthil Balaji raised questions on Annamalai through Twitter. Balaji asked- The French company made only 500 items of Rafael watch worth 5 lakhs. The person who claims to have 4 goats has this watch! Can he share the receipt of the watch?

BJP’s Tamil Nadu State President D Annamalai wrote on Twitter itself- “If they want to fight with me on corruption, I am more than ready for it. Details of my Rafale watch, which was bought in May 2021. His bills, income tax details before I became Tamil Nadu BJP president, bank accounts Detail, as an IPS officer since August 2011, I will tell all the information about my income, movable and immovable property, cow-sheep. I will hold a press conference on the day of starting the padyatra, I will show all the information on the same day. If I get more than that, I will hand it over to the government. Annamalai also said that “this watch will be with me till I die. This is a collector’s edition. Who else can buy other than us Indians? The watch was made for our country by Dassault from parts of the Rafale aircraft.” He claimed to have the 149th out of 500 Bell & Ross Rafale Limited Edition watches.

Responding to the press conference through his Twitter account, Senthil Balaji said that Annamalai himself reminded people of the Rafale controversy. Is it nationalism to wear a watch worth lakhs of rupees made abroad? Is this Make in India?
