Stephen Myberg started all guns blazing in the Netherlands’ run-chase of 334, opening the opening attack on the New Zealand new-ball pair of Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson. Playing his final ODI innings, the left-hander scored 43 runs at a quick pace of 81 with Max O’Dowd, before falling to Colin de Grandhomme’s gentle medium pace.

The visitors then stumbled, with Matt Henry scoring 4/36 in an innings that was reduced to 218 in 42.3 overs. The winning moment was appropriately that of Ross Taylor, who caught Aryan Dutt’s misplaced grip at mid-wicket to wrap up his illustrious 16-year career.
