3rd FIR filed against DK Shivakumar for violating Covid protocols in Mekedatu padayatra

Another FIR has been registered against State Congress President DK Shivakumar and 63 others in Ramnagar for violating COVID norms during Mekedatu padyatra. This is the third FIR against the Congress leader in connection with the padyatra.

On 9 January, the Karnataka Congress began its 10-day long march from Mekedatu to Bengaluru, demanding the construction of a balancing reservoir across the Cauvery river. The march is being led by President DK Shivakumar and Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah.
