Hyderabad: Telangana On Saturday, 364 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths were recorded, while the number of active cases in the state stood at 6,608.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,54,758 and the death toll stands at 3,856. The number of active containment zones in the state was 19. Jagtial, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have most of the active containment zones in the state.
A total of 482 patients were declared healthy on Saturday, taking the total number of recovered patients to 6,44,294. The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate is now 98.40 per cent. Of the total cases in the state so far, 79.9 per cent have been asymptomatic while 20.1% have been symptomatic.
On Saturday, 75,289 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing 2.38 crore samples and has reached 6.41 lakh sample tests per million population.
NS Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 76 cases on Saturday, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri reported 20 cases. Ranga Reddy 21 were registered and Sanga Reddy registered 5 cases. Outside Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar recorded the maximum number of 44 new cases on Sunday, while Narayanpet and Warangal Urban See more cases.
