In Singrauli on May 18, on the orders of the Sarpanch, a new twist has come in the case of a 32-year-old woman being forcibly married to a 16-year-old teenager. The village is of South Tola of Khutar, in which Kishor’s father had complained to the Women and Child Development Department and the Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

On Thursday, when the commission team reached to rescue the teenager, the woman ran away with her minor husband. After this, commission member Brajesh Chauhan has registered a case against the accused woman and her family members under the POCSO Act, including kidnapping. The family members of the woman are also missing.

Probably the woman and her family have kept the teenager hostage somewhere. The Children’s Commission had given directions to void the marriage of the juvenile in the case. A special team has been formed to search the woman.

Kishor’s father told in his complaint that the divorced woman belonged to his own society. First of all, he talked about getting his son married to his relative’s girl somehow. When he refused, he showed the pride of the sarpanch. After this, when things did not work out, Sarpanch Bal Mukund Singh made a panchayat sit in front of the society.
