He said the 30-year-old leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal wing shot himself inside a car. Deputy Superintendent of Police Surinder Singh said that in the preliminary investigation, family dispute has been cited as the reason for the suicide.
He said that the police have registered a case and the body has been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
