Three youths drowned and one went missing after their boat capsized in a river in Brahmavar town of Karnataka’s Udupi district. The police gave this information on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday evening at the Huda of Honnala river.
The deceased have been identified as Ibaz, Fazan and Sufan. Farhan, who was on the boat with them, is missing.
The youth had come to his relative’s place in Hude to celebrate Ramzan. On Sunday evening, they had gone fishing in a boat when they were swept away.
Police said the youths were trapped in the strong current of the river. Search is on for the missing person.
