Police said it acted swiftly on their specific inputs regarding movement of terrorists in Rambagh area of Srinagar and a small police team signaled a suspicious Santro vehicle to stop.

Three terrorists were killed and identified as TRF terrorist commander Mehran Yasin Shalla resident of Jamalatta Srinagar, Manzoor Ahmad Mir resident of Babar Pulwama and Arafat Ahmed Sheikh resident of Nikolora Pulwama.
Police said that as per police records, the slain terrorists were affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba (TRF) and were part of a group involved in several attacks on security forces and civilian atrocities.
“Incriminating material including arms and ammunition have been recovered from them. Police have registered a case in this regard and investigation is on.”
