COVID-19 India News Updates: 2,745 new cases of Novel Coronavirus have been reported in India, with 6 deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday (June 1), there were a total of 2,236 discharges in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate to around 98.74 per cent and the total recovery data reaching 4,26. ,17,810.
The total active cases of COVID-19 in India has risen to 18,386, health ministry data showed today. The active cases registered yesterday stood at 17,883.
The active COVID-19 caseload has registered an increase of 503 cases in a 24-hour period. The ministry said that active cases comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections.
The total death toll in the country now stands at 5,24,636. In India, the first death due to the COVID pandemic was reported in March 2020.
Positivity Rate:
According to the health ministry, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.60 per cent.
ICMR test:
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 85,08,96,606 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till May 31. Of these, 4,55,314 samples were tested on Tuesday.
Delhi COVID Tally:
Meanwhile, Delhi recorded 373 fresh coronavirus cases with a positivity rate of 2.15 per cent and one death due to the infection in a 24-hour period, according to data shared by the city’s health department on Tuesday.
With this, the national capital’s COVID-19 tally has gone up to 19,06,896 and the death toll due to the viral disease has gone up to 26,210. The department said in its latest bulletin that a total of 17,371 COVID tests were conducted in the city on Monday.
Delhi recorded 212 fresh COVID-19 cases and one death on Monday, while the positivity rate stood at 2.42 per cent.
On Sunday, the national capital witnessed 357 fresh Covid cases with a positivity rate of 1.83 per cent.
It recorded 442 coronavirus cases on Saturday with a positivity rate of 2.02 per cent.
