The woman lodged a complaint on Tuesday, prompting the police to take swift action. According to her statement, a group of men intercepted her on the way and forcibly took her to the bank of a nearby pond, where she was sexually assaulted.

Arrest of Six Accused
Following the victim’s complaint, the police registered an FIR and arrested six men linked to the crime. The accused have been charged under sections 70(1) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigations are ongoing.
Former Chief Minister Calls for Immediate Action
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grave concern over the incident, demanding the immediate arrest and conviction of the culprits. In a message shared on social media, Baghel urged for the victim to be provided protection and assistance until the accused are brought to justice.
