2,330 cases disposed of in National Lok Adalat in Yavatmal. Nagpur News – Times of India

Yavatmal: A national Lok Adalat On Sunday, under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority, 2330 cases were disposed of in various courts across the district. It was inaugurated by Chief Principal and Judge of District and Sessions Court and Chairman of Law Cell Justice V.P. Patkar did it.
Disposed cases, of which 1,442 were long pending, while 888 were pre-litigation cases involving Rs 19.87 crore.
Various banks, insurance companies, MSEDCL, BSNL and others participated in the sessions. For the first time, 13 cases were resolved online and two cases were resolved through video conferencing.
A special draw was held during 29-31 July to finalize the priorities. Legal cell secretary and civil judge MRA Shaikh, family court judge TS Akali, civil judge SH Gaharwal, additional district and sessions judge SW Chavan, senior advocates RK Manekshaw and RB Badnore, and others were part of the panel.
