Before the 2022 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has become active once again after a brief illness. Known as ‘Neta ji’ among party workers, he is a regular at the SP headquarters in Lucknow. He visits the office to boost the morale and gives suggestions to the party workers on how to strengthen the position of the party.
For the past few days, Mulayam has been giving political advice for hours in the Samajwadi Party office. Also, during the conversation with the workers, he has said that if needed and if his health permits, he will also campaign for the assembly elections.
Due to his deteriorating health, his activities have reduced considerably and he is spending more time in Delhi. To give his special class, Mulayam sits in the Lohia auditorium built inside the SP office.
Party workers who participated in these sessions said that Netaji is active these days and working to generate enthusiasm among the workers for the 2022 assembly elections. He also said that Mulayam often called him on stage to deliver speeches.
He also said that Mulayam is willing to form the Samajwadi Party government in 2022 and is ready to participate in the election campaign if needed. He said that the SP chief has appealed to the youth that their role will be important in the upcoming elections.
In a recent press conference, Akhilesh has also said that Netaji’s colleagues and those who know him will get full respect from the party. Recently, when former minister Ambika Chaudhary joined the party, Akhilesh had said that he would take everyone along.
Speaking to News18, SP MLC Sunil Singh Sajan said, “The most important thing in politics is experience, and who has better experience than Netaji? Our beloved Netaji is telling the party workers and especially the youth how to reach out to the people and celebrate them. Our youth workers are learning a lot. Not only young workers, but experienced leaders are also taking lessons from Netaji and his experience in politics will definitely help us eliminate BJP from Uttar Pradesh.
