Mahindra looks has confirmed its plans to update the XUV300 sub-compact SUV very soon. The company has released a teaser of the upcoming 2022 XUV300, hinting that it will be offered with a new and more powerful turbo-petrol engine, and will also feature some design updates over the outgoing model.
The official teaser revealed by the company says “0 – thrill in a blink of an eye”, which means that the updated XUV300 facelift could be equipped with a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine on the that puts out 130 PS of maximum power and 230 Nm of peak torque. This new engine will make the XUV300 the most powerful sub-compact SUV in the country.
Also on offer will likely be the same 1.5-litre diesel engine as before, which produces 115 PS power and 300 Nm torque. Transmission options are expected to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT with both the engines.
The teaser reveals the 2022 XUV300’s front fascia, confirming that the SUV will now be equipped with Mahindra’s new twin-peaks logo, just like the XUV700, Scorpio-N, and Scorpio Classic. Apart from that, the new XUV300 will also be offered with new diamond-cut alloy wheels, which could measure 17-inches in size.
The 2022 XUV300 facelift is expected to be launched in the Indian market during this festive season. Upon arrival, the Mahindra SUV will continue to rival the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Toyota Urban Cruiser as well as the Renault Kiger.
