Captain of Chennai Super Kings M S Dhoni His illustrious playing career is definitely going to end with the conclusion of IPL 2023, his former teammate Kedar Jadhav has revealed.
In an exclusive chat with News18 CricketNext, JioCinema IPL expert Jadhav said that he is sure that Dhoni will retire after the current IPL season.

“I am telling you with 2,000 per cent certainty that this will be MS Dhoni’s last season as a player in the IPL. I am telling you this specifically,” former CSK player Jadhav said on Friday.

He further said, ‘Dhoni will turn 42 this July. Though still fit, Dhoni is a human after all. So, I think this will be his last season. Fans should not miss any of his matches, they should follow his every ball in the ground.”

Wherever Dhoni-led CSK have played this IPL so far, especially at their home ground Chepauk Stadium, fans are thronging.
“We broke the record on JioCinema even on the day Dhoni was batting,” said Jadhav, referring to the 22 million viewers tuning in during MSD’s recent batting against Rajasthan Royals.
Dhoni has been in excellent form this season. Though he has faced just 27 balls in three innings, he has scored 58 runs in them which included two fours and six sixes.
Against RR, he almost took them over the line with 32 not out.
CSK will next face Royal Challengers Bangalore on 17th April.
Jadhav, who represented India in 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is between 2014 and 2022, believes that Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans are strong contenders to win the IPL title once again.
