Dia Mirza made her Bollywood debut with Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein in 2001. When she sees her debut, many memories come back to her. “Every year around this time, I remember the moments I spent on the sets of Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein. The film was a new creative journey and my introduction to the industry as well,” he said in a statement. I am very grateful that both the film and the people I worked with made me believe that I have chosen the right path. Even though I was a young girl who hadn’t even traveled abroad before winning the Miss Asia Pacific crown, this film and its cast and crew made me feel like I belonged.”

The character of Reena Malhotra also remains a personal favorite as Diya has identified with her effortless poise and dignity. Talking about her character, the actress said, “The kind of gender lens we now apply to female characters two decades ago, this girl knew how to stand out and refused to be bullied or bullied. . And of course, the music of the film was and is so soul filling. I guess, so many fans watch this movie with nostalgia because we are no longer making musical love stories. Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, its lyrics and dialogues take people back to a sweeter, simpler era. I think that explains the enduring appeal of the film.”

Over the last 20 years, the film has received unimaginable love and Diya says it is always extremely gratifying to meet people who have their own RHTDM story to share with them. The film was directed by Gautham Menon and starred Madhavan with Diya. Saif Ali Khan. It was produced by Vashu Bhagnani under the banner of Pooja Entertainment.
