20 months: Scheduled international flight suspension extended till November 30 – Times of India

New Delhi: The government has extended the suspension of scheduled international flights Until 30 November 2021.
However, Vande Bharat Mission And other flights will continue under air bubble and eligible people can fly on them to and from India as per government norms.
Scheduled international flights were suspended on March 23, 2020, and the severity of the pandemic means there is no sign of a hasty resumption even after 20 months.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued an order on Friday extending the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India till 11.59 pm (India time) on November 30, 2021.
“This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and in particular to flights approved by the DGCA,” the order said.
It adds that “international” scheduled flights Permission may be given on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis.”
In the last one year, India has been operating Vande Bharat Mission flights to many places and till now has created air bubbles with some countries.
During the second Covid catastrophe that began in mid-April, nearly 20 countries have imposed restrictions such as flight suspension from India or strict entry norms for passengers from here.
Now that the second wave is subsiding, countries such as Switzerland, France, Germany and the Maldives are beginning to lift restrictions.
