Srinagar: Two terrorists of Pakistan-backed TRF, including the perpetrator of one of the seven civilian killings in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 10 days, were killed in separate encounters with police in the north on Monday. Kashmir‘s bandipora and Anantnag in South Kashmir.
IGP (Kashmir Range) Vijay Kumar Announced through his official Twitter handle that the slain Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar carried out the attack in Bandipora last week in which Mohammad Shafi LoneThe president of the local taxi drivers union was murdered in Hajin’s Shahgund.
Another TRF terrorist killed by police in the second encounter of the day in Anantnag is yet to be identified, police said. A policeman was injured in firing in Khagund Verinag.
Four suspects in the murder of Lone, one of the three Muslim victims in the latest terror attacks targeting civilians, were arrested in Bandipora on Sunday. mastermind concession Police said an encounter took place in Hajin’s Gund Jehangir area in the early hours of Monday, in which he was gunned down.
“Based on specific information, a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police was about to enter the hideout of an overground TRF worker when there was firing from inside. As we suspected, Imtiaz was there,” an official said.
The police have found a pistol and a hand grenade from the slain terrorist.
The third encounter took place between a joint team of terrorists and police, Army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF late on Monday night in Tulran area of Shopian district of South Kashmir. Police said that till around 11 pm, around three terrorists were hiding in a hideout.
