Patna/Madhubani : Two police sub-inspectors- Gopal Krishna And Abhimanyu Sharma Additional District Judge-I Avinash Kumar was allegedly physically assaulted inside his chamber in a sub-divisional court Madhubani Thursday at around 2 p.m., and even pointed his service weapons at him.
The lawyers and judicial staff rescued ADJ and took two policemen hostage. ADJ ordered special training for Madhubani SP SDPO earlier this year for his “poor knowledge”. The order came while denying bail in a case that he had termed as a case of rape but the police had not filed a chargesheet citing the POCSO Act.
At the time of filing this report, the SI was still confined in a room inside the court premises. IGP. senior officers including Ajitabh KumarLawyers who reached the spot were trying to pacify them. Patna HC Chief Justice Sanjay Karol Took suo motu cognizance of the incident and constituted a Special Bench to hear the matter.
