GURUGRAM: Two laborers were buried alive at a construction site in Sector 56 area after soil fell from an adjoining house while they were digging a basement, police said here on Thursday.
The dead were identified as Malkhan (28) and his sister-in-law Guddo (26), both. native of Galan Village of Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, he said.
Both were living as tenants in Sector 23 area and working as laborers.
One FIR The police had registered a case on the complaint of a person named Raj Kumar, who is from the same village where the victim is suffering’.
According to the complaint, the victims were working at a construction site on plot D-323 in Sector 56 since last week.
According to the police, Rajkumar said in his complaint that on Wednesday night, while he was carrying out excavation work in the basement, soil slipped from the adjoining house and fell on him.
“Both got buried in the mud. Other workers ran away with them. w wait Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.”

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered against the contractor and the plot owner under sections 304A (death by negligence) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code at Sector 56 police station.
Investigating officer Sub Inspector Shri Bhagwan said, “We handed over the bodies to the relatives after postmortem today. We are verifying the facts and action will be taken as per law.”
