Two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday. A joint team of police and army had launched a search operation in the Mirhama area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. As the forces were approaching towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the security forces, triggering a gunfight.
In the ensuing encounter, two terrorists of JeM outfit were killed and their bodies retrieved from the site.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, said that both the killed JeM terrorists are Pakistanis. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 2 AK rifles, 7 AK magazines, 9 grenades were recovered from their possession.
