The village was filled with water till the waist. Even after this, Ramnath Kovind did not stop going to school. He used to reach the school with his kurta-pyjama in his hand while sipping water. Not for a day or two, for months in a row, we had to go to school with water only. He never turned his back on his studies amidst the financial crisis of the house, the death of his mother in his childhood and all the troubles. As a result of this, after studying in the village till the eighth standard, he completed his inter graduation in Kanpur.
2. When a classmate stole sugarcane, went in front of the farmer and apologized himself
Elderly Raj Kishore Singh Gaur, who lives in Paraunkh, is also a childhood friend of President Kovind. It is said that Kovind has been honest and simple in nature from the very beginning. As a child, we friends used to go to the junior high school, four kilometers away from the village, to study together. One day, while returning from school, a friend stole sugarcane from the field. The farmer caught the student by running. After this, the President went to the farmer and apologized himself for this act of the friend. He also talked about giving money in exchange for sugarcane. Then the farmer left his friend.
