The SGPC had announced that it was going to file a case against Bharti Singh. The SGPC said that in the video, Bharti Singh can be clearly seen commenting on the beard and mustache in the form of Sikhs. It is clear that Bharti has used this terminology deliberately. At the same time, GRTFP also gave a written complaint in Adampur, Jalandhar.

Case registered under 295-A

After the complaint of SGPC, a case was registered against Bharti Singh in the police station e-division late on Sunday evening. E-division SHO Sukhjinder Singh said that on the complaint of SGPC, a case has been registered against Bharti Singh for hurting religious sentiments under IPC-295A. Similarly, Jalandhar Rural Police has also registered a case under IPC- 295A against Bharti Singh at Adampur police station.
