2 encounters in 12 hours in Kashmir: 5 terrorists including Jaish commander Zahid Wani killed, one of them Pakistani

According to IGP Kashmir, security forces carried out operations at Charareshrif in Budgam district and Naira in Pullama district till late Saturday night, after which 1 terrorist was killed in Budgam and 4 in Pulwama.

Jaish Commander Zahid Wani killed
Zahid Wani was one of the top commanders of Jaish-e-Mohammed, who was involved in the Zahid Letpura incident. Jaish commander Zahid Wani is also being said to be involved in the Pulwama terror incident on 14 February 2019. In which 40 CRPF personnel were martyred.

Security forces arrested terrorists
Earlier on Friday, Ganderbal Police along with teams of 24 Rashtriya Rifles and 115 Battalion of CRPF arrested 3 terrorists. All of them are associated with the Resistance Front (TRF) of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Two pistols, three magazines and two Chinese grenades were recovered from them. The trio have been identified as Faisal Manzoor of Shopian, Azhar Yakub of Zapora and Nasir Ahmed Dar of Begum Kulgam.
