NEW DELHI: The national capital recorded 17 Covid-19 cases on Monday, the lowest since March 28 last year. There were zero deaths for the fourth consecutive day, according to the data shared by the Delhi government’s health department.
Monday was the 14th time since the start of the second wave of the pandemic that Delhi recorded zero deaths in a day. The low number of cases can also be attributed to fewer tests (46,251) conducted on the previous day.
With the fresh cases, the total number of infections in Delhi has gone up to 14,37,334. Out of this, more than 14.1 lakh patients have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, the death toll stands at 25,079, the health bulletin said. So far this month, 26 people have died due to this disease.
On Sunday, the capital had reported 24 Covid-19 cases with a positivity rate of 0.04%. The capital on Saturday 19. was informed of cases of covid.
At present, there are 374 active cases in the city, and 107 of them are in home isolation, while the positivity rate of cases is 0.04%, the bulletin said. Meanwhile, the number of containment zones stands at 228.
According to government data, 1.24 crore vaccine doses have been given in the city.
