Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Authority on Monday launched another industrial scheme of 17 plots ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 sqm, the second in a period of one-and-a-half months.
The plots are in Ecotech-10, Ecotech 1 Extn 1, Ecotech 1 Extn, Udyog Kendra Ecotech 3 and Udyog Kendra 1 Ecotech 3 Sector. The last date for submission of applications for this scheme is 8 January. The allocation is expected to generate investment of Rs 1,200-1,500 crore and employment to around 1,500-2,000 people, officials said.
“Over the years, Greater Noida has given a better environment for industries through ease of doing business. Investors are constantly demanding land for setting up industries in the Greater Noida area. In view of this, our industry cell has launched another industrial scheme of 17 plots,” said Narendra Bhushan, CEO, GNIDA.
According to Bhushan, this increased interest is evident from the triple response to an industrial scheme launched on November 3 this year for 90 plots. More than 300 applications were received for the scheme with an investment of Rs 900-1,000 crore and with an aim to generate employment opportunities for around 2,500-3,000 people.
“Plots in that scheme range from 450 sqm to 40,470 sqm of area. While allotment of plots less than 4,000 sqm will be done by draw, for plots above 4,000 sqm, interview based allotment will be done.
Meanwhile, online applications have been invited for 17 industrial plots from Monday, and the last date for submission is January 08. “All types of green industries (non-polluting) are invited to set up their units here after the allotment is completed. , said Bhushan.
