Did not reach even after 45 days to get the dose
By 31 January 2022, 4.66 crore children had administered the first dose in the country. After the completion of 45 days, by March 15, the second dose should have been taken in such a number, but this number is only 3.47 crores. That is, the time has passed for the second dose of 1.19 crore (25.5%) children.

There are 7.40 crore children in the age group of 15 to 17 years in the country. Of these, only 5.60 crore children have got the first dose administered till March 15. About 1.80 crore children have not even administered the first dose.

New variant expected

According to the central government, more than 2.5 lakh children in the age group of 12 to 14 got the dose on Wednesday. There are 47 million children in the age group of 12 to 14 years in the country. They will be given two doses of Biological-E’s Corbevax vaccine at a gap of 28 days. From Wednesday itself, all the elderly people above 60 years of age have also started getting booster doses.
